Who we are

Steptoe’s Yard Ltd and our sister company, Hardcore Crushing Ltd, are two family-run companies owned and operated by Andrew Shorten and his wife, Kathryne. Together we employ 27 staff and operatives and operate from a 12-acre reclamation yard in Altham, near Accrington.

What we do

We reclaim, process and supply stone and building materials for renovation, restoration and construction. That includes paving flags, cobbles and setts, building and walling stone, and aggregates for base builds and groundworks.
