Incoming block stone

Here we have a c. 16-tonne block of stone being delivered for the stonemasons to get stuck into.

This block will be drilled and split into more manageable sizes and then placed on the large 2400mm diameter stone saws and further reduced into separate slabs.

Thereafter the slabs will be sized and shaped by the stonemasons to produce specific items such as door & window surrounds, or more ornate architectural masonry items.
