Is Reclaimed Stone Expensive?

If so you are probably trying to decide which type would be the most cost effective – stone that is brand new or reclaimed stone. This is a question that a lot of people will ask and one that you need to understand before you go ahead and make your purchase.
The main thing that you need to keep in mind is that new stone on the whole tends to cost more. However, you will find that the price difference between reclaimed and new can be significant depending on the type you want to purchase.
When you opt for stone that has already been used it will not need to be ‘aged’ to look good, the years will already have done this for you. If you are buying new you might have to pay more for this type of finish.
You should also think about the thickness of the stone that you are buying. Obviously it must be thick enough for the purpose that you will be using it for, or it will crack and split if you are using tiles where flags should be placed. Think about this or the cost will be more if you have to replace them.
